More than just a new NFT collection, Babacci is a truly generative 3D project that embodies the spirit of the "weirdos" and "nerds" who have been in the space since the beginning.
In the interview, Rizzle explains that Babacci is a collaborative effort with Fabiano Speziari and Patrizia, who wanted to create a generative 3D project that shared the same on-chain principles as Rizzle's previous work. The project is designed to be truly generative, meaning the 3D files are created on the fly from code, a technically challenging feat that took over a year to ship. This is a significant departure from many projects that pre-generate combinations and then randomize them upon minting.
Babacci is an open edition on the Base chain, priced at a very accessible .0069 ETH. The price point is a deliberate choice, intended to make the project approachable and fun, rather than a speculative investment. Rizzle’s goal is to get the project into the hands of as many people as possible, particularly the "OGs" who will appreciate the technical depth and community-sourced elements. The project includes 92 community traits, a nod to the contributors and the close-knit community that has supported the project.
Rizzle expressed his nervousness and excitement about the launch. After working on the project for over a year, he is proud to finally release it into the wild. He sees Babacci as a "home court play" for the community, a project that they can use and enjoy. It’s a return to the roots of crypto, a place where people built things because they were cool and interesting, not just for financial gain. As Rizzle puts it, this isn't for Mark Cuban to understand; it's for the nerds who love and appreciate the technology.

This choice reflects Rizzle's preference for platforms that enable builders to maintain control over their work and innovate without being constrained by a rigid system.
